About The Role
At EKFB we’re shaping Infrastructure for a better tomorrow. All four of our partners (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM) bring specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects. This role is based in Milton Keynes.
Responsibilities
* Manage Early Warnings, Technical Queries and General Communications (HS2, Design Consultants and Technical support) and RRM with relevant technical support.
* Provide support for the management and tracking of design change.
* Manage subconsultants, including development of scope of works and assessment of applications for payment.
* Consolidate and manage update reports to the Senior Leadership team and manage interface with section Engineering Design Managers.
* Support the technical team and assist with the implementation of BS EN ISO14001 certification and audit against the standard and internal procedures.
* Support supply chain activities to raise environmental and sustainability standards and collaborate with the wider Environmental team, client, designers, community, stakeholder and public relations managers to ensure the programme is achieved.
* Lead by example and promote good practice relating to environmental management & sustainability, sharing best practice and learning.
About You
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the application of environmental legislation for large scale infrastructure projects in the UK.
* Meticulous in checking detail whilst recognising delivery priorities, programme need and the anticipated volume of work.
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain good relationships and networks.
* Strong stakeholder management skills with experience of influencing and negotiating with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders and the ability to extract key points and communicate them to others.
* Degree in an Environmental or Engineering discipline is desirable.
* Membership of an appropriate professional body working towards chartered status.

All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects. EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. Our scope of works includes 15 viaducts, 5km of green tunnels, 22km of road diversions, 67 overbridges, and around 30 million cubic metres of excavation.
