A well-established UK pensions consultancy is seeking an experienced Actuarial Director to join its Glasgow-based actuarial team, supporting a diverse portfolio of UK DB pension schemes. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a Scheme Actuary who enjoys combining client leadership, business development and people management, while continuing to deliver high-quality actuarial advice in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and strategically manage key DB pension scheme client relationships
Oversee delivery of actuarial advice, implementation of recommendations and fee agreements
Drive business development by contributing to business planning, expanding client portfolios and identifying new opportunities
Play a central role in people management, including setting objectives, supporting development, and contributing to recruitment and retention
Act as a senior ambassador for the business within the wider pensions market
Qualifications
Experienced UK pensions actuary with deep knowledge of the DB market
Holder of a Scheme Actuary Practising Certificate (IFoA) (preferable)
Strong understanding of the current pensions and consulting landscape
Proven experience managing and developing people
Commercial mindset with the ability to grow and sustain long-term client relationships
