Sort Control Centre Specialist
Hours: 1830-0630 on 4 on 4 off rotations

Key responsibilities:
* Monitor volumes on the sorter heading to Chutes, X-Rays, Flyersort and Exceptions, and communicate any required actions to Operations, ITS or NCC staff.
* Monitor SCADA and report any mechanical or system issues to onsite engineers.
* Monitor communications from the Operation and respond appropriately.
* Respond quickly and accurately to routing requests while challenging requests that conflict with operational requirements.
* Accurately complete NRUs, C+L updates and daily updates in SATS and AHS.
* Assist onsite engineers with fault diagnosis and system testing.
* Generate and distribute accurate incident reports in a timely manner.
* Monitor SATS Readiness Reports and WebSentinel.
* Generate and distribute daily reports.
* Maintain reference data in SATS, AHS, work instructions and SharePoint.
* Support training of new employees and colleagues providing emergency cover.
* Consolidate and upload LRT/BEE data.
* Respond to tracing requests and reweigh queries.
* Provide effective and comprehensive handovers to the next shift.
* Contribute to IT, SATS, SCADA and sort/systems-related projects and take ownership of assigned continuous improvement tasks.
* Ensure safe and efficient autosort operation through effective monitoring, control and communication.
* Collaborate with the Sort Control team, Sort Control Manager and other departments to drive continuous improvement and achieve KPIs.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with Senior Management, Network Planning, ULD/Network Control, C&L, Engineering, IT Applications, Service Quality, Operations Management, ITS, Beumer and Facilities.
* Maintain up‑to‑date system skills as required, such as Power BI and SharePoint.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Security, ISO9002, GSOP, Dangerous Goods and DfT standards.
* Actively promote Health & Safety by completing and logging H&S conversations and reporting near misses.

* Methodical and analytical.
* Highest standards of communication skills are essential.
* IT literate and familiarity with local and global systems: AHS3, PQT,SATS, UK HUB, Internet, Tier 2, Windows.
* Understanding of the company Focus strategy.
* Ability to attend high level meetings and present
* To work with CIM (certified international manager) methodologies mindset
