Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.This role will be within theCWA Wide Section.What will you do?We are recruiting for a Project Controls Manager to join the CWA (Civil Works Alliance) and lead a pivotal function on one of the UK's most strategically important infrastructure projects. This is a senior leadership role where you'll manage integrated project controls across one or more sections of Sizewell C, ensuring we deliver this transformational energy project with precision, integrity and excellence.About the opportunity As part of the CWA, we are delivering Sizewell C a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes.
This role sits within the PMO reporting directly to the Head of Project Controls. You'll be responsible for implementing comprehensive project controls strategy, managing program, productivity and cost through integrated Earned Value Management, while upholding safety, quality and project integrity at every level.What you'll be responsible for Lead the delivery of project controls requirements, ensuring compliance and adoption across the CWAManage the project controls function on one or more sections, including strategic direction, vision and management planningImplement the Civils Work Program WBS, CBS, OBS and all associated coding structures for effective project segmentation and reportingLead the development and implementation of Earned Value Management (EVM) and reporting systems for cost and time performanceGenerate all types of progress and performance reports including metrics, trends, forecasts and recommendationsLead establishment and maintenance of systems for reporting and forecasting performanceManage change within contractual boundaries, analyzing impact and maintaining program integrityChampion HSE and Nuclear Safety as embedded principles across your teams and the broader projectPromote Digital Engineering tools and establish integrated digital business systems linking BIM data with scheduling and budgetBuild and maintain trusted relationships with our Client (NNB and EDF), acting as a strategic advisorLead high-performing teams through recruitment, development, coaching and mentoringCreate an environment where teams, roles, skills and behaviors align with business objectivesWhat are we looking for?Who you are A results-driven leader with at least 12-15 years leading project controls on complex, mega infrastructure projects for leading international tier 1 contractorsQualified to APM PMQ, APMG Project Planning and Control Practitioner level or equivalent (MRISC preferred)Expert in contract, cost and EVM systems including PRISM, Unifier and InEightPassionate about excellence willing to go the extra mile and continually search for ways to add valueA champion for HSE and Nuclear Safety who embeds these principles throughout your workA collaborative team player who shares knowledge and empowers others to deliverCustomer-focused with the ability to anticipate stakeholder needs and build sustainable relationshipsAdaptable and energized by change, learning quickly and responding positively to evolving demandsAn excellent communicator who achieves clarity and impact in all interactionsSomeone who delivers operational excellence consistently and takes personal responsibility for team motivation and engagementWhy join us You'll lead project controls on a project defining Britain's energy future delivering clean, reliable electricity for at least 60 years.
