About The Role
Contract Type: Temporary / Fixed Term: 1st September 2025 - 31st August 2026 (Maternity Cover)
Pay Details: Soulbury A 2-7 plus up to 3 SPA points, £45,586 - £61,664. Existing SPA points will be honored, along with the latest Soulbury pay rise.
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours per week (full-time). Part-time applicants are welcome.
Main Place of Work: Flexible working including civic offices and remote options.
Description:
* Promote equality of access and opportunity for all children, regardless of gender, attainment, ethnicity, ALN, or language proficiency.
* Use applied psychology to improve outcomes, inclusion, and achievements of children and young people, including pre-school and post-16, through consultation, therapeutic interventions, and statutory advice.
* Engage in project work and training, contribute to monitoring and evaluating local authority and county provision and policies.
* Ensure effective data collection, analysis, and communication in line with service protocols.
* Participate in the planning and development of the Educational Psychology Service and the wider education service.
* Stay updated with current practices and research, maintaining professional development to uphold HCPC standards.
About You
You will need:
* A postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology and registration with the HCPC.
* Experience working with children and young people with ALN.
* Knowledge of psychological and educational needs of children and young people.
* Proficiency with a range of psychological interventions for children with ALN.
* Ability to handle multiple targets and demands effectively.
* Teamwork skills and ability to promote cohesion.
* Sound judgment, decision-making, and flexibility.
* Willingness and ability to travel.
