Clark Wood is working with a well-established firm in Norwich to recruit a Personal Tax Manager to join their Personal Tax team. This role will involve responsibility for managing a portfolio of personal tax clients across Norfolk and Suffolk, with a particular focus on complex compliance and advisory work for high-net-worth individuals. The firm has a strong client base within the medical sector, and this position offers the opportunity to further develop expertise in advising doctors, consultants and other healthcare professionals. The role sits within a supportive and experienced tax team and offers clear progression alongside ongoing technical development in personal taxation. This represents an excellent opportunity for any experienced Tax Assistant Manager or established Tax Manager to join one of the region's strongest Tax departments in a mixed compliance and advisory capacity.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a personal tax client portfolio, delivering complex compliance and advisory work
* Advising high-net-worth individuals on personal tax matters, including residence and domicile
* Providing tailored tax planning advice to medical professionals
* Advising on NHS pension schemes, income structures and allowable expenses
* Managing WIP, fee quotes and billing for allocated clients
* Reviewing work prepared by trainees and supporting their development
* Working closely with Tax Managers, the Director of Private Client Services and Partners on planning projects
Ideal Candidate
* CTA and/or ACA / ACCA qualification
* At least 5 years’ experience in personal tax within practice
* Experience dealing with complex personal tax compliance and advisory work
* Experience reviewing the work of trainees or junior staff
