Location:Hybrid Working | Business Area: Finance | Salary: Competitive salary based on experience
We’re looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join us on a temporary basis of 6 months.
Reporting into the Financial Director, you’ll play a key role in preparing management accounts, statutory reporting, and commercial analysis across a diverse portfolio of businesses. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to VAT and tax analysis, audit support, and a variety of essential finance operations within a collaborative group environment.

The Role:
* Working as part of a team to prepare the Group Management Accounts for a portfolio of businesses, including preparing commercial analysis.
* Calculation and posting of key supplier accruals, deferred income and prepayments etc.
* Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
* Production of VAT returns and corporation tax analysis.
* Assisting with cash forecasting.
* Preparation of statutory accounts.
* Responsibility for provision of audit samples to the external audit team alongside resolving any audit queries
General accounts duties including carrying out daily/weekly finance tasks for the wider Group e.g. credit checks, processing of credit notes, preparing BACS runs etc
The Candidate:
* Pro-active and motivated individual who is committed to accuracy and strives for success.
* Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA preferred but other qualifications considered).
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to plan and prioritise workload efficiently and successfully perform duties under pressure.
* Ability to work well in a team environment:
* Knowledge of Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Tables

Competitive salary based on experience.
Hours:
A standard week is 37½ Monday to Friday.

Flexible, hybrid working.
Location:
Working both at home and on-site at our HQ in Alderley Edge, where you’ll be joined by your teammates for the weekly hub day.
