About The Role
SAAF Education are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of Secondary Schools and Colleges in the York area.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and confident in leading a classroom in the absence of the class teacher. Whether you're looking for flexible day-to-day cover or a long-term placement, we have opportunities to suit your availability and career goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise students in the classroom during teacher absence.
* Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure students remain on task.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress or issues.
* Support the learning and development of students across various subjects.
Requirements
* Experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational setting is preferred.
* Strong classroom management skills and confident communication.
* A flexible and professional approach to work.
* Holding QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is ideal but not essential.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
