I am working in partnership with a well-established and forward-thinking engineering consultancy, recognised for delivering sustainable, low-carbon building solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Energy Modeller to support an expanding project portfolio and play a key role in the delivery of high-performance, future-ready buildings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about net-zero design and technical innovation.
Essential Criteria
Strong experience using IES VE for energy, load and compliance modelling
Proven ability to undertake overheating assessments in line with TM52 and TM59
Practical experience with net-zero technologies, including heat pumps, MVHR, solar PV and high-performance building fabrics
Ability to translate complex modelling outputs into clear, client-ready technical reports
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects independently
Desirable Criteria
Experience with Part L compliance, EPC modelling and regulatory submissions
Broader dynamic thermal modelling experience, including natural ventilation and climate resilience studies
Familiarity with sustainability frameworks such as BREEAM, WELL or LETI
Exposure to automation or scripting tools (e.g. Python)
Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams
