Placement Summary
1. Work within the CATS Technical team to deliver specific process engineering deliverables and provide assistance to the Process Engineer.
2. Interact and engage with numerous stakeholders and groups at CATS, namely the Engineering Team, the Operations and Maintenance Teams, 3rd party vendors and our owners, Kellas.
Work Tasks
3. Review and update the Hazardous Area Classification report and schedule, by identifying and assessing relevant plant changes. Assist the Document Controller in updating the Hazardous Area Drawings, in particular creating side elevation views of the hazardous areas.
4. Review and update of pressure safety valve datasheets
5. Assist the Technical Team in support of the Turnaround (Train shutdown and overhaul) in June 2025. Tasks to be defined but likely to include punch-listing modifications and Completions activities.
6. Assist the Process Engineer with plant support activities as they arise, which could include; Process Engineering calculations, P&ID development, troubleshooting & optimistation.
Requirements of the Placement / Individual
7. 9 engagement from September 2024.
8. Located in Teesside at the CATS Terminal, working in the Administration Building but with frequent time spent on the operating plant.
9. Process / Chemical Engineering undergraduate who is passionate about the energy sector.
10. Preference for a Masters’ degree student in 3rd year of study, with predicted final grade of 2:1 or better
11. A desire to learn from experienced colleagues.
12. Excellent verbal and written communications skills
13. Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
