The Role

The Group Learning Partner will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering impactful learning solutions across the Group. Partnering with Commercial, Technical, and Home Space teams, as well as Group support functions including Risk, Finance, IT, Health & Safety, Legal, and Company Secretariat, the postholder will design and implement targeted learning initiatives that enhance compliance, operational capability, and cultural alignment.

Key responsibilities include conducting training needs analysis, supporting subject matter experts (SMEs), delivering train-the-trainer sessions, and advising on the most effective learning mediums for individuals and teams. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and a passion for enabling performance through learning.

The postholder will also deliver mental health training in-person and virtually to employees.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Conduct comprehensive training needs analyses in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify skill gaps and learning priorities across teams, ensuring targeted and effective learning solutions are developed.
2. Partner with function leads in Commercial, Technical and Home Space Teams, as well as Group support functions in Risk, Finance, IT, Health & Safety, Legal, and CoSec to co-design and deliver learning interventions that support regulatory compliance and raise functional awareness across the business.
3. Design and deliver engaging training programmes tailored to the needs of managers and senior leaders.
4. Deliver in-person and virtual training workshops across the UK to new and existing staff using a variety of interactive and adult learning techniques to ensure effective knowledge retention and behavioural change.
5. Deliver engaging and practical train-the-trainer sessions to equip subject matter experts (SMEs) with the skills and confidence to deliver training professionally and with impact, ensuring consistency and quality across learning delivery.
6. Continuously evaluate and improve training effectiveness using feedback, performance data, and best practice.
7. Work closely with the Learning Systems and Funding Lead to contribute to the development of digital learning content (e.g. eLearning modules, video content, toolkits).
8. Champion a learning culture that supports employee engagement, retention, and professional growth.
9. Translate complex legislative and operational topics into accessible, engaging learning content for employees and managers.
10. Collaborate with external partners and training providers where needed to supplement in-house capability.
11. Deliver mental health awareness and first aid training across the organisation, promoting a wellbeing-focused culture.

Experience

12. Experience of partnering with internal teams and conducting training needs analysis, that results in training programmes to build knowledge and capability. Experience delivering both face-to-face and virtual training (e.g. via MS Teams, Zoom)
13. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and training design methodologies
14. Experience delivering or coordinating mental health and wellbeing-related training is desirable
15. Familiarity with L&D evaluation methodologies and reporting on training effectiveness.

Qualifications and training

16. Relevant training qualification (e.g. TAP, CIPD, Level 3 Award in Education and Training)
17. Mental Health First Aid Trainer accreditation or related certification is desirable.
18. Coaching qualification (ILM or equivalent)

Skills and aptitude

19. Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills, both in-person and virtually.
20. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and blended learning approaches.
21. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
22. Confident working with senior stakeholders and influencing at all levels of the organisation.
23. Collaborative, curious, and proactive in seeking innovative learning solutions.
24. Ability to translate complex or unfamiliar subject matter from SMEs into clear, engaging, and impactful learning solutions, ensuring relevance and accessibility for diverse audiences. Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
25. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
26. Passionate about promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Working Conditions

28. Office based role with 1-day working from home.
29. Some UK-wide travel as required, including overnight stays.
30. Willing to be flexible in respect to day-to-day duties and hours worked.
