Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble components according to technical drawings and specifications
* Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete assembly tasks
* Assemble small sub-assemblies through to larger sections
* Fit bearings, taper lock pulleys, and gears
* Install and run pneumatic and hydraulic pipework
* Conduct quality checks to ensure completed work meets standards
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols
* Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve fabrication issues
Skills & Experience:
* Fully time-served mechanical fitter/engineer
* Mechanical engineering qualification essential
* Proficient in the use of hand and power tools for assembly and fabrication
* Experience using machine tools (advantageous)
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics
* Fabrication experience advantageous
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment
* Proven role model capable of setting high standards for colleagues
