Expert Lead Cardiac Physiologist in Inherited Cardiac Conditions
We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed, and dynamic individual to join our department as an Expert Lead Cardiac Physiologist in Inherited Cardiac Conditions.
The ideal candidate must currently work as an independent clinical practitioner with expert specialist level clinical expertise. Responsibilities include assisting the departmental management team with strategic leadership, working under pressure, prioritising workload, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality diagnostic, educational, and research services at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
This role offers excellent developmental opportunities and requires a proactive individual to drive positive change within cardiac diagnostic services at Wythenshawe Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide leadership and development for practitioners within the Clinical Physiology Department at the Cardiac Diagnostic Centre.
2. Advise external institutions, including primary care and professional bodies within Cardiology.
3. Exercise initiative and judgement in problem-solving and decision-making, escalating issues to senior management or consultants when necessary.
4. Independently gather complex clinical information from multiple sources to determine optimal procedures.
5. Set up and operate complex medical equipment for procedures.
6. Analyze complex data, perform calculations, interpret results, and compile accurate technical reports.
7. Communicate technical and physiological data interpretations to guide physicians during high-risk procedures.
8. Supervise individuals in the clinical environment, including visitors from other trusts.
