Experienced SEN Teacher – Bradford (Alternate Resource Provision & Year 1 Maternity Cover) Start Date: January 2026 Location: Bradford Salary: £160–£300 per day (dependent on MPS/UPS scale) Hours: Full-time, 8:30am – 3:30pm Agency: Milk Education Milk Education is recruiting for an experienced and adaptable SEN Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Bradford. This unique role will see you working across two areas: Supporting in a Alternate Resource Provision, which caters for at least 20 children with a wide range of needs, including non-verbal pupils, SEMH, Speech, Communication & Language (SCL) needs, and Autism. Covering a Year 1 class on maternity leave, expected to start after Christmas. This role is ideal for a skilled SEN practitioner who can balance specialist teaching with mainstream class teaching, while bringing creativity, patience, and resilience to both settings. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons that meet the diverse needs of children with EHCPs. Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where all children can thrive. Support the personal, social, and emotional development of children within the Orchard provision. Deliver the Year 1 curriculum effectively, ensuring continuity during maternity cover. Manage behaviour positively and consistently across both settings. Work collaboratively with the SENCO, Orchard staff, and wider school team to ensure holistic support. Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Proven experience teaching children with SEN (SEMH, Autism, SCL, non-verbal). Confident in teaching across EYFS/KS1, including phonics and core subjects. Flexible, resilient, and able to adapt teaching approaches to suit different settings. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
