Senior Finance Assistant
Location : Ormskirk
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Reporting to: Finance Director
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented senior accounts assistant to help in the financial operations of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in all areas of the for financial reporting, budgeting and cash flow management.iness, and this role would allow someone to gain exposure to management accounts, budgets and forecasts once they have settled into the role.

About The Role
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
Create purchase ledger payments
Maintaining Xero cash and day books
Prepare short and long-term cash forecasts
Manage balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare monthly and annual management accounts.
Prepare a monthly financial report with variance analysis
Assist with the audit process
2. Budgeting
Assist with the annual budgeting process.
Monitor departmental budgets and provide variance analysis.
Manage Corporation Tax, and payroll submissions.
3. Systems & Process Improvement
Oversee the Xero financial systems
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Person Specification:
Essential:
AAT or equivalent qualified
Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software.
5 years experience working in finance office
Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
Desirable:
Experience in care sector.
Knowledge of financial modelling is a distinct advantage.
