Department summary
Our Weymouth location offers more than 48 pediatric specialties and services, including MRI, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and a pulmonary function lab.
Key responsibilities
* Assisting patients on obtaining vital signs, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature, pulse and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of unit.
* Scheduling, receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments or procedures.
* Collecting, verifying and recording required information according to established procedures and instructions.
* Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse.
* Obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.
* Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks.
* Assisting clinician during examinations (i.e. obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic).
* Transporting patients, supplies and equipment as needed.
* Monday-Friday, (4) 8 hour shifts. Flexibility within the hours of 7:30a-5:30p. Primary location will be Weymouth with the ability to float to Norwell and Milford.
Minimum qualifications
Education: High School diploma or GED.
* 1 year Clinical Assistant or Medical Assistant required.
