Associate Lecturer - Foundation Year/Foundation Degree at Arden University (Holborn campus)

• £50.42 for Blended Learning
• £86.44 for Distance Learning
• £65.86 for Dissertation Supervision
* Additional pay: rolled up holiday pay of 12.07% per hour

The Opportunity
Support the delivery of Foundation Year courses on a flexible, as‑needed basis. Work is offered on both a semester basis and a task‑and‑finish basis, allowing you to fit teaching into your existing schedule.
Key Responsibilities
* Teaching and Learning (Blended Learning): Deliver classroom‑based sessions, engage students online, provide feedback, and enhance the learning experience.
* Teaching and Learning (Distance Learning): Lead interactive online sessions via Zoom, engage through discussion forums, and provide timely support and feedback.
* Marking & Assessment: Participate in standardisation exercises, undertake formative and summative marking, and adhere to strict deadlines.
* Supervision: Provide high‑quality supervision and guidance for student projects and dissertations.
* Authoring Content: Develop or revise engaging lecture and learning content, ensuring copyright compliance.
* Other Duties: Attend meetings, contribute to peer reviews and staff development activities to maintain teaching quality.
About You
Experience and skills required for this role:
Essential
* Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
* Experience teaching and assessing students within the UK higher education sector.
* Experience delivering student‑centred teaching, and for DL roles, proven experience teaching through distance learning.
* Up‑to‑date industry experience.
* Fellowship of Advance HE (or willingness to work toward it with Arden’s support).
Desirable
* A teaching qualification.
* For postgraduate level teaching, a postgraduate qualification or equivalent.
