Rate of Pay: £49.89 - £66.18 per hour
Summary:
The Childrens Interim Commissioning Manager is a strategic and operational role responsible for the end-to-end commissioning cycle and robust management of contracts across Childrens and Young Peoples Services. The post holder will ensure that services for children and families are effective, efficient, and high-quality, while maintaining strict compliance with procurement and legal frameworks. You will play a key role in delivering the Councils Commissioning and Sufficiency Strategy, focusing on preventative services and achieving the best possible outcomes for young people in Liverpool.
Responsibilities:
* Commission a diverse range of services tailored to the needs of children, young people, and their families.
* Lead the arrangement, review, and monitoring of contracts to ensure all delivery targets, quality standards, and objectives are met.
* Ensure all services achieve value for money and align with the Councils long-term service strategy goals.
* Utilize and promote best practice procurement methods in line with professional standards and Council policies.
* Take ownership of long-term projects designed to innovate service delivery and improve system-wide performance.
Qualifications:
* A University Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
Essentials:
* Experience in Education commissioning (e.g., Alternative Provision) is highly advantageous.
* Extensive experience in project management delivery, financial monitoring, and the performance management of third-party suppliers.
* Experience working strategically with procurement departments and ensuring compliance with financial and contract standing orders.
