Asbestos Consultant
Location: Midlands, UK (home/site/office-based)
Salary: Up to £38,000 (depending on experience)
An established environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced Asbestos Consultant to join its growing Midlands team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified surveyor or analyst looking to take the next step within a supportive and quality-driven organisation.
The role offers a varied mix of home, office and site-based work, with travel to client sites across the UK as required.
The Role
* Undertaking site works in line with project scope defined by the Project Manager
* Travelling to client sites across the UK as required
* Communicating effectively with clients, contractors and stakeholders on site
* Reporting site issues to Project Managers and clients where necessary
* Advising clients on asbestos liabilities and management requirements
* Training, supervising and auditing colleagues (depending on experience)
* Accurately recording site data and producing reports and certification in a timely manner
* Taking representative site photographs and preparing annotated plans
* Completing quality control, equipment management and KPI requirements
* Working closely with Quality, Technical and Project Managers to ensure compliance with internal systems and legislation
About You
* Full UK driving licence
* BOHS P402, P403 and P404 (or RSPH equivalents)
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
* Strong communication skills, written and verbal
* Self-motivated, disciplined and able to work independently or as part of a team
* Comfortable working under pressure and managing deadlines
* Good understanding of relevant health and safety legislation
* Positive, proactive and professional approach
