Band 3 Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator (CAT 1)
Join Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust as a part‑time Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator in the Clinical Administration Team (CAT 1). The role is part of the ENT, Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery pathway and will involve supporting patients from referral to discharge across two sites: Townlands Memorial Hospital (Henley‑on‑Thames) and Royal Berkshire Hospital (Reading).
Job Details
* Contract: Permanent – cross‑site
* Hours: 30 hours per week, 4 days (08:00‑17:00, Monday‑Friday)
* Salary: £24,937 – £26,598 pro‑rata per annum (Yearly)

Key Responsibilities
* Provide a single point of contact for all administrative issues relating to patients’ pathways.
* Support the proactive management of the patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring smooth transitions.
* Complete essential administrative tasks to maintain departmental operation and safety.
* Ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction through accessibility, customer‑focus and knowledge.
* Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and timescales.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
* NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration/Customer Care or equivalent experience.
* GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English.
* Good evidence of computer literacy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable
* Computer literacy course (e.g., ECDL).
* Experience working in the NHS.
* Knowledge of speciality patient pathways.
* Experience with digital dictation systems.
