The People & Culture Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the People & Culture team. This position ensures the smooth delivery of core HR processes, including payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, recruitment support, right‑to‑work compliance, HR data management, and employee documentation. The role also supports the Learning & Development function by assisting with training creation and delivery. This position is central to creating a positive employee experience through accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service.

Daily Operations
* Manage and process monthly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring that all data entries, adjustments and changes are correctly captured.
* Manage payroll related queries from employees and managers, providing clear and timely responses.
* Liaise with benefit providers when required and resolve issues or process changes.
* Prepare and issue all employee paperwork, including contracts, offer letters, change letters, and any other required documentation.
* Maintain organised digital employee files with all required documentation stored correctly.
* Provide day to day support to employees on HR related questions, policies, processes and benefits.
* Conduct telephone screenings for shortlisted candidates to support the recruitment process.
* Manage the employee onboarding process, ensuring new starters receive a smooth, welcoming, and well‑organised introduction to the organisation.
* Keep the HR system fully up to date, ensuring all employee information, changes, and documentation are accurately recorded.
* Process all HR data changes, including new starters, leavers, promotions, salary changes, and contractual updates.
* Assist with People & Culture projects, engagement initiatives, and events.
* Support engagement activities, reward and recognition programmes, and internal communications.
