At Bright Futures, everything circles back to one belief: every person with autism or a learning disability deserves the chance to thrive. Our specialist home in Liverpool provides high-quality care, education and life-enriching opportunities, delivered by teams who are as skilled as they are compassionate.
Job Role
We support 5 adults at Bardley Crescent, our residential home in Prescot. Each of the people we support have individual interests, needs and care plans. From pizza parties and buffet tea nights to trips out to the beach or the bowling alley, each day will give you new opportunities to motivate the people we support to reach their personal outcomes and live fulfilling lives.
Having recently moved from a different property, your responsibility will be to support the people we care for with their transition into their new home, ensuring they can continue with all their favourite activities.
We’re looking for patient, resilient, proactive and positive individuals who can bring calm confidence to the night shift. Energetic, active and engaging personalities work especially well here, along with people who are kind, good communicators, able to follow routines and respectful of personal space.
Responsibilities
* Provide safe, person-centred care and supervision throughout the night, supporting the wellbeing and comfort of the people in the home.
* Record night-time observations, incidents and wellbeing checks clearly, ensuring accurate handovers to the day team.
* Follow care plans, behaviour support strategies and safeguarding protocols, escalating concerns where required.
* Complete agreed night-time domestic tasks, ensuring the home remains clean, safe and well-presented for the following day.
* Work confidently during waking night shifts, maintaining professionalism, calm decision-making and strong communication at all times.
What we’re looking for
* Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable (waking night experience beneficial but not essential).
* A care-related qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Health & Social Care or equivalent) is desirable.
* Warm, person-centred approach with a strong focus on safeguarding, wellbeing and maintaining professional boundaries.
* Calm, resilient and proactive with the ability to work independently overnight and respond appropriately in unexpected situations.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, ensuring accurate recording, confident lone working, and effective handover with day staff.
Salary & Benefits
* £25,913.58 - £29,615.52
* Healthcare Cashback (dental, optical, physio, wellbeing)
* Care Friends Referral rewards up to £2000
* Bright Stars bonus scheme & Employee of the Month awards
* Free Meals on Shift
* Life Assurance Policy – 2x salary
* Cycle to Work Scheme
Safeguarding Requirement
Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Satisfactory references are also required.
