Restart Advisor (Self Employment)
Salary: £28,.00 per annum & Company Benefits
Location: Rochdale
Office Based Role: Monday to Friday [9am-5pm]
Ingeus are currently looking for a [Insert Job Title] for our Rochdale Office, which is a pivotal role in supporting our participants who have been out of work for at least 6 months or more, and who are interested in exploring Self Employment opportunities, to establish or grow their Self Employment business.
The Restart Scheme is a specially designed programmed which gives participants who have been out of work for at least 9 months, intensive and tailored support to help find sustained work in their local area.
What you will be doing:
1. Manage a caseload of participants, ensuring they are supported and challenged appropriately to progress towards Self Employment.
2. Partnering with the participant to create a comprehensive action plan to identify appropriate actions to remove any barriers they may have to Self-Employment
3. Conducting assessments with all referred participants to assess job readiness and provide the appropriate level of support required to build confidence in gaining sustain employment.
4. Identify participants may benefit from a signposting to a specialist organisation for specific Self Employment information, advice and guidance and making referrals as appropriate
5. Understanding the internal and external information, advice and guidance related to general barriers a participant may face, along with Self Employment specific support such as tax, finance, and business plans
6. Ensure clients have access to workshops and tailored support (including. health, mental health, transferable skills, job searching, cv writing, interview skills).
You will require:
7. Good working knowledge of Self Employment, and the challenges that participants may face in this field
8. Building effective and positive relationships with participants, to identify and overcome any potential barriers preventing them from becoming Self Employed or enhancing their existing Self Employment.
9. Assess participants to determine if Self Employment is a suitable option for them
10. Strong IT Skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and web-based programmes
11. Ability to manage multiple priorities to achieve targets and KPI's in a very busy environment
12. Knowledge of the labour market, and stakeholders local to the area in which you will be applying for.
