Technical Project Manager – Hybrid (12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex network infrastructure projects within a fast‑paced retail environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong project manager who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end‑to‑end delivery of network and infrastructure projects, from initiation through to handover.
* Lead project planning, scheduling, risk management, and reporting in line with PRINCE2 methodologies.
* Coordinate internal teams, third‑party vendors, and network engineers to ensure on‑time and on‑budget delivery.
* Oversee deployment, upgrade, and migration of network solutions, primarily using Cisco technologies.
* Ensure projects align with ITIL service management practices and operational readiness.
* Communicate effectively with retail business stakeholders, ensuring minimal disruption to store operations.
* Maintain clear documentation, governance, and change control throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience delivering network‑focused projects in a technical project management role.
* Strong knowledge of Cisco products and network technologies.
* Solid understanding and practical application of PRINCE2 and ITIL frameworks.
* Experience working within the retail sector, ideally supporting multi‑site or store‑based environments.
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Desirable Qualifications
* CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification (highly desirable).
* PRINCE2 Practitioner certification.
* ITIL Foundation or higher.
