STAFF NURSE BAND 5 (Inpatient) Full & part time posts available

Are you a Learning Disability nurse who is passionate about supporting people with a learning disability through an inpatient journey?

The Fife Learning Disability service has exciting opportunities for registered Learning Disability or Mental health nurses to join them.

There are posts across the inpatient service, covering Assessment and Treatment, Forensic and Bespoke care.

You will be responsible for assessing and supporting the health needs of people with a learning disability under the supervision and guidance a Senior Nurse.

The purpose of this post is to carry out;
Comprehensive Health Care Assessments.
Health Screening.
Risk assessment
Mental health assessment
Multidisciplinary planning and treatment implementation

The minimum requirements;
Relevant 1st level nursing qualification Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities or registered mental health nurse
Knowledge of current legal frameworks to support inpatient care delivery
Ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals and groups.
Highly motivated and conscientious.
Experience of care planning for complex health care needs.
Ability to work flexibly to meet the demands of the Service.
Knowledge of PBS
Knowledge and understanding of risk assessment

You need to be a good team player and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of current evidence based

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
