About the Role
Mental Health Practitioner – Join Compass Changing Lives to empower young minds. You will deliver therapeutic interventions like CBT and solution‑focused techniques, and work with children, young people and families in a fixed‑term, part‑time role of 3 days per week within the City & South EITSS team.
Responsibilities
You will:
* Deliver 1:1 therapeutic interventions and parenting programs with children, families and groups.
* Conduct mental health assessments, evaluate risks and take appropriate action.
* Build trusted relationships with schools, families and multi‑agency partners, applying early support in educational settings.
* Safeguard, manage risk and communicate effectively as core tools of practice.
* Reflect, adapt and commit to learning, growing professionally and supporting others with hope and respect.
Qualifications
* Hold a relevant qualification such as EMHP, CYP IAPT, Registered Social Worker or Registered Mental Health Nurse.
* Demonstrate experience delivering therapeutic interventions with children, families and groups.
* Show strong knowledge of safeguarding, educational environments and consent issues, including Gillick competence.
* Have experience supporting children with social, emotional, behavioural difficulties, anxiety and mood disorders.
* Exhibit exceptional communication, organisational skills and a self‑motivated, team‑focused approach.
