Role Description
We are looking for a Senior Risk Control Surveyor, having a focus on Property, Business Interruption, Natural Hazards and Casualty. Our Loss Control Engineering team is made up of experienced engineers from a wide range of technical and scientific disciplines. The team provides a flexible range of risk consulting services. The primary role is to undertake risk control surveys, both remotely and on site.
Responsibilities
* Engaging directly with the customer, determine if the hazards associated with the trade are adequately managed, negotiate any risk improvements and produce reports within agreed quality and service standards.
* Collaborate with other business areas, handle technical referrals, training and sharing of best practice as appropriate.
* Benefit from a training programme and ongoing support to thrive and provide technical guidance to customers.
This is a home-based role, covering the UK South West region.
Salary
Pay: Circa £55,000 per year. Salary is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have an understanding of insurance, gained from a current or previous role in risk control, along with:
* Sense of commercial judgement and business acumen.
* Organised and articulate with an attention to detail.
* Highly proactive approach to personal development, service delivery and ability to demonstrate positive behaviour.
* The ability to assess risk, the exposure it presents and the application of appropriate loss control measures.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Valid and current UK driving licence essential
Essential Skills
* ACII qualified, other risk management qualification, or continuing progress towards.
* Strong experience working as a Risk Controls Surveyor.
* Able to travel to South West of England.

Desirable Skills
* NEBOSH Certified however not a requirement.
