This Primary School is a welcoming, inclusive school in Urmston dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where every child can flourish emotionally, socially, and academically.
We are looking to appoint a committed and skilled Behaviour Mentor to work closely with pupils who need additional support with behaviour, emotional regulation, and social skills. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing across the school.
Key responsibilities:
* Providing 1:1 and small group mentoring to support pupils’ behavioural, emotional, and social development.
* Working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement effective behaviour strategies.
* Supporting pupils to develop self-regulation, resilience, and positive social interactions.
* Monitoring and recording pupil progress and contributing to behaviour plans and reviews.
* Promoting a calm, positive atmosphere across the school.
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with children with behavioural or social/emotional needs.
* Is patient, empathetic, and skilled at building trusting relationships with pupils.
* Can work independently and as part of a team.
* Has good communication and organisational skills.
* Is committed to supporting the school’s ethos and values.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
