About Our Client
The business are a well known company within the financial services industry, based in the centre of Leeds in luxury offices, and offer 3 days in office working, and 2 days from home per week! The Purchase Ledger Clerk role is within the Invoicing team which is part of the Ledger team, and is responsible for processing and paying supplier invoices and processing employee expenses.The role will require significant interaction with the Management Accounts team, the Central Finance team and with other employees across the business, as well as suppliers.
Job Description
3. Coding, processing and reviewing purchase ledger invoices.
4. Intensive bank verification for new suppliers or where suppliers have changed bank payment details.
5. Reviewing and reconciling purchase ledger accounts to supplier statements.
6. Preparing and processing weekly payment runs.
7. Processing employee expense claims.
8. Statement/Account query handling.
9. Purchase ledger reconciliation queries.
10. Ad-hoc administration duties.
The Successful Applicant
11. An experienced Purchase Ledger clerk.
12. Ability to meet deadlines and take ownership and responsibility for tasks.
13. Strong intellect and a pragmatic approach.
14. Good communication skills, both written and oral, and an ability to communicate credibly within a professional environment.
15. An eye for detail and the ability to consider, investigate and raise wider issues.
16. A desire to maintain a high quality of output at all times.
