Gi Pro Maintenance is partnered with a leading business in their sector, part of a global multi-billion-pound manufacturing group. We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a growing, knowledgeable, and experienced maintenance team, comprised of multi-skilled engineers, reliability engineers, and compliance engineers. This role offers varied daily tasks, working on both new and historical machinery, where no breakdown is the same. If you're seeking a new challenge, this is a great opportunity. If you have a bias, they will upskill you in the other as long as you are willing to learn, progress, and take initiative. Machinery components include mixers, screw conveyors and belts, bearings, chains, sprockets, automated bagging lines, weighing systems, wrapping machines, switchers/leavers, gearboxes, proximity/photosensors, and Siemens/Allen Bradley PLCs.
Typical duties:
1. Regularly inspect and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
2. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and other system malfunctions.
3. Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
4. Keep detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and future reference.
5. Collaborate with production, quality control, and other teams to ensure smooth operations and address maintenance concerns.
6. Previous experience in preventative planned maintenance.
7. Ideally multi-skilled (either bias) but a mechanical skill-set with standard electrical skills is also considered.
8. Understanding of basic continuous improvement tools and techniques.
9. Ideally hold a Level 3 (NVQ, BTEC, C&G, EAL) qualification.
10. Experience within an industrious manufacturing environment.
