Design Manager
Salary up to £65,000 dependent on experience + Company Benefits.
Commutable from Dudley, Stourbridge, West Bromwich, Wolverhampton, Walsall.
An excellent opportunity for an individual with strong management experience within the engineering industry looking to join a well-established, local company where you will be able to have full reins in implementing a lean environment and good team culture.
The company are industry leaders in their sector and work with a host of reputable customers and clients across the UK. They are currently looking for an Engineering Manager to oversee engineers within the design team.
This role would suit an individual with strong management experience within the manufacturing/engineering sector who is seeking an exciting but challenging role within a well-established business.
The Role
* Reporting directly to the MD, managing a team of engineers within design to ensure that work is up to quality standards, within the specified timeframes and within budget.
* Implement lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, continuous improvement.
* Work with multidisciplinary teams such as manufacturing and sales.
* Work hours: 7:30 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
The Person
* Experience as an Engineering Manager.
* Background or knowledge of design engineering.
* Understanding of electrical engineering and LV switchgear/electrical enclosures (desired but not essential).
* Strong people management with excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Proven experience of driving a good team culture and implementing continuous improvement.
