About the role
Vision for Education is a leading education recruitment agency that works closely with primary, secondary and SEN schools across Kent. We are currently looking for Trainee SEN Teaching Assistants in the Gravesend and Dartford area.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to start a career in education and make a real difference in the lives of children with SEN. We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and dedicated individual who is keen to inspire and support children.
You will support children with SEND on a 1:1 and small group basis, both inside and outside of the classroom. Working alongside experienced and supportive class Teachers, you will deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Support children with SEND on a 1:1 or small group basis, both inside and outside of the classroom
* Work alongside class teachers to deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences
* Support in assessing and documenting children’s progress, fostering a learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential, regardless of their ability
* Assist in creating a stimulating classroom setting and create learning resources to enhance children’s learning
Requirements
* A passion for working with children and a desire to help them achieve their best
* Be flexible, proactive and a team player
* Understand the crucial importance of keeping children and young people safe
* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
