We currently have a vacancy for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team.

The Role
Reporting into the Finance Controller, your key responsibilities will include:
· Proactively participate in and lead aspects of the production and delivery of statutory accounts, annual revenue and capital budgets, and associated in year monitoring, forecasting & reporting
· Lead and give direction to the development of financial reporting and financial management tools and reports to support the business in delivery of corporate objectives.
· Ensure that the Authority is compliant and up to date with all relevant financial standards and practices.

You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:
· Hold a degree or have equivalent relevant experience in accounting.
· CCAB /CIMA qualified or passed finalist.
· Practical knowledge of financial reporting standards and CIPFA/IFRS Code
· Demonstrable deep understanding of financial procedures within a Local Authority environment.
· Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role
