As the ‘Front of House’ leader of the Financial Operations function, the role requires a collaborative communicator to build effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders to maintain high standards, drive improvements and resolve challenges as they arise. Balancing day-to-day operation delivery with leading strategic change the role requires a decision maker and a multi-tasker able to identify and prioritise competing deliverables and deadlines and manage a six person global team. Roles and responsibilities: Providing strategic leadership to six direct reports across Order Management, Accounts Receivable (both UK based) and Accounts Payable (India based), setting standards and ensuring high-quality service delivery through a well-trained and motivated team. Identifying opportunities and creating business cases for optimization of systems, controls and processes in collaboration with key stakeholders to drive quality, efficiency and scalability and mitigate risk; managing the design and delivery of the changes including training and documentation for users. Administering internal and 3 rd party systems used by team and manage relationships with systems support providers, ensuring security and efficiency. Preparing, maintaining and improving clear, ordered and detailed documentation around processes and controls. Coordinate service performance and delivery to ensure key business targets and KPIs are met; develop performance measures to drive improvements; identify issues, propose and deliver ways to address them. For the position of Head of Financial Operations we are looking for candidates who are/have: Experienced team leader with ability to provide clear message and direction at individual and team levels. Able to inspire trust and confidence. Detailed understanding of best practice in financial operations and proven track-record in designing and implementing operational finance controls and processes to deliver quantifiable improvements. Strong and effective communicator; ability to build strong relationships across business and knowledge to be authoritative source of operational finance expertise. Organised and methodical in balancing multiple tasks and priorities, with keen eye on deadline management. Extensive systems experience – NetSuite experience a must, Salesforce experience an advantage.
