We are looking for a technically strong Interim Head of Insurance to lead the global insurance programme at a FTSE250 company. Started their career in underwriting or broking with a solid technical foundation.
Moved in-house and held senior roles within the construction, infrastructure, engineering, oil&gas or mining sectors.
Deep expertise in captive insurance, including design, management, and optimisation.
Proven experience managing global insurance programmes, including layered towers and operations in key markets like the U.This is a hands-on, high-impact role combining immediate operational oversight with strategic input on the future insurance model.
Own and manage the corporate insurance portfolio, including renewals and broker relationships.
Provide expert advice on complex risks, contract insurance clauses, and indemnities.
Assess current insurance arrangements and recommend improvements.
Define a fit-for-purpose, future-state insurance operating model.
Ensure global alignment, particularly across high-risk and regulated markets like the U.Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Treasury, Procurement, and Operations functions.
Must have moved in-house and worked at a company within the construction, infrastructure, engineering, mining, or oil & gas sectors.
Deep understanding of captive insurance and its role in complex risk programmes.
Demonstrated experience managing global insurance programmes, including layered insurance towers and U.
