Are you an experienced change professional who enjoys turning ideas into practical delivery? Sheffield City Council is looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Business Change Officer to join the Sheffield Role Review Programme (SRRP) Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, people-centred programme that supports fairness, consistency and improvement across the Council.
About the Role:
In this role, you will be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team delivering key activity across the Sheffield Role Review Programme. You will manage small projects, work packages and workstreams within the wider programme, helping to ensure delivery is well planned, aligned to programme objectives and supports positive outcomes for the organisation and workforce.
You will contribute to the design and delivery of change activity, supporting service improvement, process development and effective ways of working. This will include planning and coordinating project activity, managing risks and dependencies, supporting workshops and engagement, and helping to develop practical, sustainable solutions.
A key part of the role is collaborative working. You will build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, contribute to strong team working, and support the delivery of change across people, process and technology. You will also undertake research and data analysis to inform decision-making and help produce clear, high-quality documentation to support delivery.
What We Offer:
A friendly, welcoming and supportive culture where you can grow and thrive.
The opportunity to contribute to a major corporate programme with real organisational impact.
A collaborative environment where you can work with a diverse range of colleagues and stakeholders across the Council.
Opportunities to apply and develop your project, business change and analytical skills in a complex public sector setting.
We are looking for candidates who can combine strong organisational and project skills with a collaborative and adaptable approach. You will be confident working across teams, building positive relationships, and supporting the delivery of change in a structured and practical way.
You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and contributing to the successful delivery of complex programme activity. Experience of project delivery, business change, stakeholder engagement, process improvement and analysis will be important in this role.
This role is Sheffield-based, and you will be required to work regularly in our Sheffield offices and workspaces, travelling to different sites based on business needs.
We are looking for individuals who are organised, adaptable and committed to our values. If you are passionate about supporting meaningful organisational change and want to contribute to one of the Council’s most significant programmes, we would love to hear from you.
Join us in our commitment to creating a fairer and more consistent workplace for all.
