Contract Type: Permanent preferred, but we would also consider contractor day rates.
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, outages on site, admin and planning from home.

What you'll do:
We are looking for a Senior Authorised Person (SAP), 11kV to lead and manage the tree cutting electrical provision team within Ground Controls operational area with UK Power Networks. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering their own tree cutting related power outages, as well as leading all other tree cutting outages carried out by a small team of Subcontract SAPs.
The successful candidate will ensure work is completed to the highest standards in safety, environment, quality, and operational excellence, always aiming to provide the best value to Ground Control and its clients. This role involves work up to 11kV.
Key Responsibilities:
* Efficient planning and delivery of all individual and team tree cutting power outages.
* Apply, remove, and oversee earths, back feeds, and generation when required.
* Support and drive the delivery of the overall tree cutting power outage programme.
* Lead and manage the electrical provision team to ensure programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and meet contractual commitments.
* Assist in managing budgets related to electrical provision.
What we're looking for:
* Senior Authorised Person with Field Control as defined by UK Power Networks Distribution Safety Rules or other DNO approval. UKPN approval is highly preferable.
* Educated to HNC level in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Broad understanding of UK Power Networks electrical shutdown processes, rules, and regulations, or other DNOs.
* Ability to identify problems, understand key issues, and investigate solutions.
* Hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
