Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM Ritchies are currently looking to recruit a Construction Materials Technician to join our laboratory team on the HS2 project around the Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire area. The role requires a candidate with extensive experience in materials related testing ranging from Concrete, Soils, Aggregates and Asphalt. Your mission As a Construction Materials Technician, you will be responsible for the following: Carrying out sampling and testing in line with Standards and customers specification Carry out a point of work risk assessment Checking that equipment to be used is in calibration and if broken or damaged this is reported to line manager immediately. Entering and completing on appropriate sheets all records, readings and results that arise from the procedure being carried out. Communicate clear instructions to site teams based on a thorough understanding of Client specification and expectations Provide clear and concise data to demonstrate compliance Carry out testing using equipment checked for calibration to demonstrate compliance Deliver daily/weekly work programmes with site teams Provide advice to others Training other staff in sampling and test procedures Maintain detailed site diary Maintain personal CPD record and CV to demonstrate career development Who are we looking for?
