Job Description
An experienced Lead Firmware Engineer is required by Careerwise recruitment to work with a Clare based client.
Role of this position
1. Leads Design activities, breaking down work packages for wider firmware team.
2. Contribute to and coach engineers in the core deliverables (develop software/ firmware, perform validation, and maintenance of industrial grade embedded systems).
3. Evaluate system level requirements by brainstorming with Product Specialists, Product Managers, and other peers.
4. Perform cross platform development of C/C++ code while maintaining code quality through best practices and code quality automation.
5. Support sustaining activities across a broad product portfolio.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
6. Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
7. 5+ years’ experience with developing embedded C/C++ applications for embedded operating systems such as Linux, QNX Neutrino, Micrium µC/OS, etc. on ARM targets.
8. Hands-on experience with tools like Git, SVN.
9. Proficient in using software/hardware debugging techniques.
10. Practical experience with design of industrial products.
