Role: Clinical Lead – Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) services
Salary/Benefits: up to £70,000 depending on the level of experience
Hours: Full Time
Location: Hybrid/Shrewsbury based with some travel
Company context
For over 25 years, our specialist residential care services have provided therapeutic care and education for girls who have experienced child sexual exploitation (CSE). Our specialist CSE services aim at understanding and reducing risk factors through an evidence based model of care that is trauma informed and developed to deliver therapeutic residential care, individual therapy and education packages. We are now looking for an experienced Psychologist to join us as our Clinical Lead to further develop our clinical model and support operational colleagues to embed this in practice.
Role and responsibilities
The post requires someone with previous experience of working as a qualified Psychologist with children and young people in relevant settings such as CAMHS, residential care and/or trauma informed services.
* Provide clinical leadership for the CSE services and work with operational colleagues to support the ongoing delivery of evidence-based practice and the development of high-quality services.
* Lead the ongoing development of the clinical model.
* Manage and supervise other clinicians in the CSE services across the country.
* Support the delivery of direct and indirect support to children and young people, including conducting specialist assessments, report writing, delivering evidence-based interventions, and designing and offering bespoke training packages for staff teams.
* Support teams in the delivery of clinically focused meetings, consultation and reflective practice.
* Engage in additional duties as described in the attached Job Description.
Candidate profile and qualifications
* HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist; able to work with children and young people, including those who present with risk-taking behaviour.
* Experience of working with children and young people across relevant settings.
* Experience of delivering evidence-based trauma-informed therapeutic interventions with children and young people.
* Experience of delivering training and of supervising and managing other clinicians.
* Able to conduct specialist clinical assessments and produce high-quality reports.
* Experience of supporting service development and staff teams through training, consultation and/or reflective practice.
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
