Head of Property Services (South), ANCHOR HANOVER
We’re looking for an experienced leader to join our Property & Assets team as Head of Property Services. Reporting to the Director of Property Services, you will manage a multi-million-pound repairs and voids programme, ensuring our homes are safe, compliant, and maintained to the highest standards. Responsibilities
Leading the delivery of responsive repairs and voids services across a geographically dispersed housing portfolio. Managing a high-performing team to deliver repairs on time, first-time fixes, and fast turnaround of empty homes, in line with customer expectations and regulatory standards (including Awaab’s Law). Overseeing compliance with health & safety legislation, landlord responsibilities, and quality standards. Driving continuous improvement, service transformation, and a strong customer-first culture. Building collaborative relationships with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure value for money and excellent performance. Managing high-value contracts effectively, ensuring outcomes are on time, on budget, and to a high level of customer satisfaction. What We’re Looking For
Extensive experience leading responsive repairs and voids services within a large housing association or property organisation. A strong track record of delivering complex, high-value programmes and managing dispersed teams. Sound knowledge of housing legislation, compliance standards, and emerging government policy. Excellent leadership skills with experience inspiring teams through periods of significant change. Degree-level education (or equivalent) and ideally a professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS A Housing Management Qualification (CIH or equivalent) at Level 4 or above, or willing to work towards. Full UK driving license and willingness to travel. Why join us?
