Job Description for the Finance Assistant role:
1. As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of statutory accounts for a wide range of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
2. Assisting in the planning and execution of audits
3. Preparing management accounts and VAT returns
4. As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will be liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and build strong working relationships
5. Supporting senior team members with ad hoc assignments as needed
6. Training junior members of the team as needed.
7. Ensuring all work complies with relevant regulatory and professional standards
8. To support operational budgets and targets
For the Finance Assistant role, it would be good to see candidates with the following:
9. Experience working in an accountancy practice is essential for the role
10. Audit experience would be ideal; however, this is not essential
11. Part-qualified ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience
12. Strong understanding of year-end accounts preparation and audit procedures
13. Experience preparing VAT returns and management accounts
14. Confident working directly with clients and managing deadlines
15. Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Microsoft Office
Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 Per Annum
