As Student Wellbeing Officer, you will work closely with learners and staff to develop, promote, and deliver a wide range of health, wellbeing and sporting activities that actively engage and empower learners in their daily college life.
A key focus of this role will be responding to the growing need for skilled team building to support class cohesion and positive student behaviour. You will work directly with staff to identify classes where group dynamics are affecting the student experience, with a high risk of early withdrawal, low retention, or dissatisfaction. Using your motivational and facilitation skills, you will design and deliver fun, purposeful activities that help students connect with one another and with staff-building trust, improving communication, and fostering a more positive learning environment for all.
A positive, resilient approach and excellent interpersonal skills are needed, backed up with a qualification at HN level or above in a relevant sport, health, community education, or arts discipline.
You will have a demonstrable ability to engage, involve, persuade, and influence others, with experience of designing and implementing successful activities and interventions in relation to health, wellbeing, or group development.
Strong organisational, administrative, IT, and team working skills are essential, coupled with excellent communication skills including presenting, facilitating, and reporting.
You will be required to work across all campuses and in different environments.
A full driver's licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
Closing date for receipt of completed application forms is Monday, 18 August 2025.
Interviews will take place on Monday, 25 August 2025 at our Gardyne Campus.
