Project Manager – Water Sector (Contract) Location: Cropthorne, Worcestershire Duration: 18-month initial contract Discipline: Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil engineering (all considered) Sector: Water / Wastewater non-infrastructure project About the Role: We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading design & build contractor delivering a multi-disciplinary wastewater project near Cropthorne in the Severn Trent region. This is a hands-on, site-based role managing design, construction, commissioning, and project close-out to ensure delivery is safe, on time, on budget, and meets quality standards. You’ll report to the Senior Project Manager and play a key role in maintaining client and stakeholder relationships, managing subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with contractual, commercial, and HSEQ requirements. Key Responsibilities: * Promote high safety and quality standards across the project team and subcontractors * Manage the implementation of the Building Management System (BMS) from tender handover through to completion * Plan and monitor project delivery, including approving Project Execution Plans and construction methods * Ensure adequate, trained personnel are in place with clear roles and responsibilities * Manage project finances proactively with accurate forecasting and risk management * Maintain positive client, JV partner, and supplier relationships to uphold company reputation * Manage site non-conformities and report potential cost impacts * Ensure all contractual records and compliance documentation are complete at project handover * Lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals * Participate in continuous professional development and keep up with industry best practices Candidate Requirements: Essential: * Proven project management experience on multi-disciplinary design and construction projects in the water sector (ideally wastewater) * Degree or equivalent qualification in construction, engineering or commercial discipline * Project Management qualification (e.g., APMP, PMP, Prince2) * Strong knowledge of construction contracts (NEC preferred) and CDM regulations * Excellent communication skills with ability to engage clients and stakeholders at all levels * Delivery-driven, able to manage and motivate teams to meet time, cost, and quality targets * Experience with risk and opportunity management Desirable: * Experience specifically in water and wastewater treatment plants * Chartered status with an engineering or construction body * NEC Project Manager accreditation Why Apply? * Work on a significant wastewater design & build project with a reputable contractor * Contract role with strong site presence near Cropthorne Please note this role has been assessed by the client as inside IR35.
