The Y Noddfa Centre, Blaenau Gwent’s Welsh-medium ALN (Additional Learning Needs) Centre for 10 pupils, was opened in September 2024 on the site of Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Helyg in Blaina.
The school is seeking a Teaching Assistant with experience of working with pupils with ALN to start on 1 September 2026.
We are looking for individuals who have understanding and experience of supporting learners with ALN and ASD; kind, positive individuals who will work collaboratively as part of an effective team, setting a good example and modelling the values of our school.
Successful candidates will be accountable to CALU and the Lead Teacher in Y Noddfa.
During the recruitment process, thorough pre-employment screening will be undertaken. The successful candidate will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
This post requires a registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) under the category of Learning Support Assistant and registration will need to be in place prior to commencement in the role.
