Therole
Fugro are seeking anOperations Manager within theFalmouth, Cornwall Hub, for the Nearshore Team. The Nearshore teamdeliver geo-technical ground investigation projects across the UKand Europe, within renewable and infrastructure industries. TheOperations Manager is a key member of the operations team. You willensure best operational practices are implemented within the LandSite Characterisation business during the design state of projectsthrough to their successful execution in the field. You will have afocus on HSSE improvements and initiatives, and ensure the UK LSCremains the Centre of Expertise for producing drilling methodology,technical and operational guidance as well as equipment selection,upgrades, and new builds. Your role will support the technical andcultural development of staff to increase performance and skills inoperating and maintaining plant and equipment. You will becontinually exploring ways of improving plant and equipmentoperational efficiency and methodology through robust R &M, alongside a well managed resource plan with targeted investmentand innovation to maximise uptime productivity.
Who we're lookingfor:
The OperationsManager will have proven successful operationalexperience within the drilling sector or similar industry, ofmanaging the operations to maintain heavy mechanical plantequipment. The Operations Manager will evidence effective andstrong communications, with a proactive and supportive attitude andleads by example, motivating your team, and collaborating withexternal and internal stakeholders. You will show good budgetmanagement skills, and experience of cost estimates for clients.The role may require the need to travel to sites across Europe andthe UK, flexibility is key to this role. The Operations Managerwill be required to have extensive knowledge of HSSE, andexperience of strengthening a positive safety culture. Ensuring allaudits are in place and managed. This operations manager willformulate, implement, and drive forward project execution strategy,for Plant and equipment requirements, drill rig and /or Jack-upbarge set up and operational methodology modifications andequipment development. The role will require someone highlyorganise with good attention to detail, and excellent reportingmechanisms. You will have a strong desire to improve performanceand the stamina and commitment to drive change. You will show theability to manage challenging situations and make decisions underpressure, diligent and hardworking. This role is exciting andchallenging and can offer variety.
