Overview
The Trust Registrar post will be responsible for the day-to-day management of elective and trauma. This includes patients on the Paediatric wards and in ED. They will be responsible to supervise the CT/F2 doctors and will be expected to attend the orthopaedic clinics, specialist clinics, theatre and ward rounds.
Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day provision of elective and trauma care, including patients on the Paediatric wards and in ED.
* Supervise CT/F2 doctors.
* Attend orthopaedic clinics, specialist clinics, theatre and ward rounds.
* Carry out elective work at the North Tees site and the Hartlepool site (an accredited surgical hub).
* Work with Consultants in trauma, lower limb, upper limb, hand and wrist surgery.
* The hand and wrist team does not take part in the general trauma on-call rota but covers the hand trauma workload with no out-of-hours work.
* Teaching opportunities are available to the successful candidate.
