To support the organisation’s growth, we have created a new opportunity for a Private Client Tax Trainee to join our Guildford Private Client Tax team. This is a permanent full-time role with hybrid working options. The Role This is a trainee position which includes full training and support in order to develop your skills and abilities for a long-term career within our practice. Your key responsibilities will include: Building productive working relationships within Shaw Gibbs and with clients as required Developing and applying your technical knowledge through on the job training and formal qualifications Assisting in the preparation of private client tax computations and returns and liaising with clients to obtain all the necessary information Assisting with various tax compliance projects Drafting income and expenditure accounts and rental accounts for review Liaising with HM Revenue & Customs on private client tax matters on behalf of clients Drafting client letters and emails Keeping clients up to date with progress on their tax compliance, advising them of deadlines and payment amounts Supporting the team with admin tasks About You We welcome applications from university students who have achieved or are predicted a 2:1 or above.
