Overview
NEC Software Solutions is embarking on a pivotal digital transformation journey by adopting Microsoft Copilot technologies, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and GitHub Copilot. The role is to be the catalyst for this change, ensuring these AI tools are deployed and integrated securely into daily operations. The Copilot Specialist leads from a business and change management perspective, defining vision, building strategy, and driving adoption to maximize ROI and foster a culture of innovation. You will bridge technology and the business to ensure a successful, secure transformation that benefits the entire organisation.
The successful candidate will be a member of the central architecture and design function within the enterprise architecture team focused on Microsoft 365, with colleagues across enterprise, security, technical and solution architecture domains.
Responsibilities
* Champion Adoption: Act as the visible advocate and subject matter expert for Copilot tools across NEC Software Solutions. Engage with key stakeholders and business unit leaders to articulate tangible benefits and strategic use cases.
* Use Case Development: Lead the identification, design, and execution of high-impact pilot programs with business teams to discover priority use cases for 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and GitHub Copilot; establish a framework for testing, validating, and scaling.
* Program Management & Business Integration: Integrate Copilot technologies into existing workflows, collaborating with project and engineering teams to deploy smoothly, enhance productivity, and improve security posture.
* Strategic Tool Evaluation: Conduct strategic, financial, and operational evaluations of AI tools and services; provide recommendations to senior leadership on purchasing and investment decisions.
* Enablement & Training: Develop and deliver guidance, playbooks, and training for colleagues at all levels; tailor content to technical and non-technical audiences for confident and secure use of Copilot tools.
* Documentation: Own creation and review of program plans, security policies, and user playbooks related to Copilot adoption and best practices.
* Governance & Best Practice: Define policies and a framework for safe, secure, and ethical use of generative AI; ensure adherence to internal standards and external compliance such as ISO 27001 and ISO 42001.
* Metrics & Reporting: Establish reporting to track adoption, usage, productivity gains, and provide data-driven value assessments to senior leadership.
* Continuous Improvement: Stay on top of emerging technologies and security threats; develop compelling business cases and strategic proposals for new technologies.
Qualifications
Experience
* Experience in digital transformation, product, or technology leadership.
* Change management and large-scale organizational change delivery experience.
* Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams, and modern workplace tools.
* Experience with AI and automation tools (preferably Copilot Studio and GitHub Copilot).
* Strong communication and influencing skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
* Track record of driving adoption of new tools at scale.
* Ability to balance strategic vision with program management.
* Familiarity with compliance and security standards such as ISO 27001 and ISO 42001.
Desirable
* Experience leading AI adoption programs in complex organisations.
* Knowledge of public sector environments.
* Understanding of agile/DevOps methods.
* Experience designing and running enablement and training programs.
* Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
* Familiarity with AI, ML, and LLM concepts; awareness of SDLC and modern coding practices to support Copilot adoption.
* Knowledge of IT security principles and governance for cloud solutions.
