1. Responsible for the day to day delivery and on-going development of a comprehensive nuclear medicine service within in accordance with the National Minimum Standards and Regulations of Independent Health Care.
2. Advise when required the clinical indications, limitations, assessments, or risks of diagnostic applications of radioactive materials.
3. Check and approve the quality of diagnostic images before patients are discharged.
4. To meet in full the requirements of the Ionising Radiation Regulations (2017) and IR(ME)R 2017, the Outside Workers (1993) Regulations, the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations (1988), Data Protection Act (1984) and any subsequent legislation.
5. Enforce radiation protection standards for patients and staff.

9. Monitor clean-up and safe handling of radioactive materials to ensure that established procedures are followed.
10. Assist with cardiovascular nuclear medicine procedures such as exercise testing and pharmacologic stress testing.
Person Specification:
11. BSc or equivalent qualification in Clinical Technology, specialising in Nuclear Medicine or BSc Radiography with postgraduate qualification in Nuclear Medicine
12. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and/or Registry of Clinical Technologist (RCT)
13. Clinical experience minimum 5 Years within a NHS Trust Hospital
14. Knowledge of clinical and corporate governance and its application
15. SPECT CT Imaging
16. Experience on GE NM/CT
17. Patient orientated with a focus on continuous service improvement
18. Energetic, achievement focused and willing to work hard under pressure
19. Strong team building skills with a collaborative approach to achieving goals
20. Demonstrate ability to build working partnerships with Consultants within the values of this clinician led organisation.
21. Genuine interest in the continuous development of self and other team members.
